Room Mate Luca, Florence

The greatest part of mate is definitely the staff! They were friendly and super helpful, from reception to breakfast. The breakfast was tasty, and ordering coffee from the staff was a nice touch. The hotel is in an ideal location, just a short walk from the train station. I really appreciated how they went out of their way to accommodate us.

Breakfast very unorganized It wasn't full and still the two waiters didn't come behind. If you can still get a handle on it the hotel is perfect

My room had a shower that felt cramped. Noise seeped in from the street outside, so if you're a light sleeper, you might find it disruptive, especially during the busy hours. The layout of the common areas could be improved, as it felt cramped during peak times, and hunting for a table at breakfast was a bit of a chore. While the location is quite central, the walk from the train station is about 15 minutes, which could feel long if you're weighed down with luggage.

While it is not in the centre of florence, it is in walking distance of almost everything, specially the David and Piazza della Signoria. Friendly staff and a nicely decorated room.

Bed were very hard and we didnt sleep well because of this. Wifi didint work our first night, but was later fixed in the next days.

We had standard queen room, and it was stylish on the facilities.

The building is cheerful and amazing location, just a short walk from all the best sights. I loved the free toiletries and the mini bar was a nice touch.

We chose Hotel Carolus because the location was close to my daughter who was studying in Florence. The staff was wonderful and couldn't do enough to please us. Breakfast was very good. The cappuccino was to die for! The servers always had a kind word and a smile- a great way to start the day! The rooms were clean. We had a wonderful view of the Duomo which was lit up at night. The beds were hard, but from what I hear that is pretty standard in Europe. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Carolus to other travelers.

Modern room, convenient location, with easy access to multiple bus stops for exploring the city and a awesome breakfast served until midday with a wide variety of choices.

Good location you can reach all sight-seeing by walk and not far from train station, friendly staff, clean. All you need is in room.

Poor breakfast but it is typical for Italy

The location is excellent. It's close to almost all the famous places such the Uffizi, Palazzo Strozzi, Palazzo de Medici, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and La Galleria de Accademia (Michaelangelo's David).
