the greatest part of mate is definitely the staff! they were friendly and super helpful, from reception to breakfast. the breakfast was tasty, and ordering coffee from the staff was a nice touch. the hotel is in an ideal location, just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to explore. i really appreciated how they went out of their way to accommodate us.

The elevators were out of service during my stay, which was a major inconvenience!!! The lack of hot water during peak times was frustrating – who wants to take a cold shower?

My room had a shower that felt cramped, making it tough for anyone with a larger frame to navigate. Noise seeped in from the street outside, so if you're a light sleeper, you might find it disruptive, especially during the busy hours. The layout of the common areas could be improved, as it felt cramped during peak times, and hunting for a table at breakfast was a bit of a chore. While the location is quite central, the walk from the train station is about 15 minutes, which could feel long if you're weighed down with luggage.

The building is cheerful and perfectly located, just a short walk from all the best sights. I loved the free toiletries and the mini bar was a nice touch.

My stay was delightful as i enjoyed the fantastic breakfast that fueled my daily city strolls and the perfect location made it a breeze to visit the nearby galleria dell'accademia and the stunning duomo in under 20 minutes on foot. however, the firmness of the bed could be improved for those who prefer a softer sleep experience.
